Keeping tummies full and brains learning!

Our Backpack Program is designed to give food to hurting children and their families every week. We've found that once a child learns basic reading and writing, parents usually take their child out of school to work and do various other things, some not so good, to bring in money. The money a child earns is often needed to keep enough food on the table. Parents of children in our Backpack Program know they will receive enough food to feed their family every week, but only if their child stays in school. This ensures that we not only improve the nutrition of the child and his/her family, but we also keep the child in school.
